Seventeen of Team USA’s finest athletes are set to compete on the global stage.

Seventeen American athletes are poised to compete against the world’s best from March 18-24 at the ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2024 in Montreal, Quebec.

Team USA will field three entries each in the men’s, pairs, and ice dance competitions, along with two competitors in the women’s event. Among the notable returnees are Ilia Malinin (men’s) and Madison Chock and Evan Bates (ice dance), both medalists from last season, aiming for another podium finish.

Chock and Bates, the reigning World champions, have been dominant since the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final 2022, clinching their first Grand Prix Final title and securing their fifth U.S. title this season. They train in Montreal and are vying to become the most decorated U.S. ice dance team in World Championships history.

Christina Carreira and Anthony Ponomarenko, training in Canada as well, will make their second appearance at the World Championships. Emily Bratti and Ian Somerville, debuting at Worlds, earned their ticket to Montreal after winning bronze at the 2024 Prevagen U.S. Figure Skating Championships.

In the men’s event, Malinin, the reigning World bronze medalist, seeks to maintain his momentum after a successful season, including winning his second consecutive U.S. Championship. Accompanying him are seasoned skaters Jason Brown and Camden Pulkinen.

Among the women competitors, U.S. champions Amber Glenn and Isabeau Levito aim to make their mark at the World Championships after notable achievements throughout the season.

In the pairs event, Emily Chan and Spencer Howe, Ellie Kam and Danny O’Shea, and Valentina Plazas and Maximiliano Fernandez will represent Team USA, each with their own aspirations for success.

The competition commences with the pairs and women’s short programs, followed by the men’s short program, ice dance, and concludes with the free dance and men’s free skate. Viewers can catch the action live on Peacock, with NBC and USA Network broadcasting over 10 hours of coverage.
